Beyond Just Function in the Kitchen–Save Some Space for Decor, Too

Let your kitchen be as functional as you would like, but don’t forget that cooks need inspiration to create their best work. A well organized kitchen space makes meal prep and clean up way more efficient, but don’t be afraid to add a good dose of art, ceramics, vases of flowers and your favorite cookbooks to the kitchen scene.

For example, I love to roll my dish towels up and put them in a beautiful container-they are ready to go when I need them and pleasing to the eye in the mean time. Also pictured here, a print of two eggs given to me by dear friends casually leaning against my hood. Eggs are an all around perfect food, in my book and a symbol of fertility. The image softens the coldness of the steel hood and welcomes you into the space.
