Repurpose Things You Love And Enhance Your Interior Space

I am huge fan of Moroccan design which features rich colors, intricate textures and busy patterns.  I purchased an orange, Berber rug over fifteen years ago from one of my favorite, local home stores, Summer House in Mill Valley.  I was mad about the rug, but I live in a small Victorian home, so the large, plush, vibrant  rug never found its right place in my house.  It was on the expensive side, so kept it rolled up for years, hoping that I could find a use for it one day.

My chaise lounge from Cisco Home, was due for a reupholstering. I always think it is worth reupholstering furniture, because you support local workroom professionals and save space in landfill. I suddenly remembered my beloved Moroccan rug rolled up and thought, that would turn my chaise lounge into a great accent piece.

I had another Moroccan rug, friends had given me and I used it on a sofa that needed updating.

Have fun finding new uses for the the textures you love! Hopefully, these examples will inspire you to experiment more freely in your own home.
